Welcome Dr. Jennifer Yong!

Dr. Vicki Lin and the staff at iSight Vision Care are excited to welcome Dr. Jennifer Yong, a board certified ophthalmologist, to our practice. Dr. Jennifer Yong joined our team in September and is now working alongside Dr. Vicki Lin at iSight Vision Care. Dr. Yong worked in private practice in New York (Manhattan and Long Island) prior to moving to California to be closer to her family.

What subspecialties did Dr. Yong specialize in?

Dr. Yong is a board certified refractive and cataract surgeon who specializes in advanced techniques in femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery, premium intraocular lens surgery, laser vision correction (LASIK/PRK), corneal collagen cross-linking for keratoconus, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), and anterior segment reconstruction. Dr. Yong’s clinical interests also include dry eye syndrome and ocular surface reconstruction for mechanical dry eye. 

Where did Dr. Yong receive her training?

Dr. Yong received her undergraduate degree from UCLA and her medical degree from Brown University. She went on to complete her internship at Yale, residency at New York Medical College, and fellowship at Harvard Medical School – Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary.

Any ongoing involvements?

Dr. Yong currently serves on a board examination content revision committee for the American Board of Ophthalmology, in which she reviews cataract knowledge assessment criteria for ophthalmologists seeking board certification.
